Trojans secure season's first win
LETHBRIDGE, ALTA., (Oct. 18, 2019) - Win No. 1 is in the books for the SAIT Trojans women's volleyball team.
The Trojans headed south, and handed the host Lethbridge College Kodiaks a 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 14-25, 25-17) in their Friday night Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) game.
"I am quite pleased with our effort; I thought we stuck to our game plan," said Trojans head coach Art O'Dwyer. "It was solid, and it was good to see. We were able to get some different people in, so that was an added bonus."
SAIT moves to 1-1 on the season. Lethbridge College falls to 0-1.
"You want to get the first win of the season as fast as you can, so it was nice to get it right away," O'Dwyer added. "Getting it in this building was super important as well because this is a tough place to play."
No stats were made available from the game.
The Trojans will finish their weekend set with the Kodiaks Saturday night at SAIT in a 6pm start.
