Bio

From Belledune, New Brunswick, Matt Daley is currently in his second year as Head Coach at SAIT. Where he achieved an impressive record of 24 wins and 6 losses in 2023-2024.  Matt spent two years as an assistant coach at SAIT, contributing to the team's success with two ACAC championships and one CCAA championship. His coaching has been pivotal in helping multiple players advance to U SPORTS and professional basketball levels.

Matt spent five years at the University of New Brunswick, where he was a two-time Academic All-Canadian. He led the CIS (USports) in assists during the 2015-2016 season and ranks second all-time in assists at UNB. He holds a degree in Kinesiology and also served as an Associate Head Coach at UNB from 2017 to 2021, helping the team capture its first  AUS Conference Championship in 51 years  while completing a Bachelor of Education.

Matt furthered his education by earning a Master of Education in Coaching Studies in 2023. He also has coaching experience at the Edge School for Athletes, where he was the Head Coach for the Men's Basketball teams for two years. Currently, he coaches in the EYBL Champions League with the Genesis Basketball Club, competing against teams from across North America.
