Female Athlete of the Week

SAIT Trojans cross-country runner Emilie Mann had a goal in mind for the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) National Championships in Markham, Ont., and she achieved it.

The second-year runner from Fernie, B.C., finished the 6-kilometre race in fifth place in a time of 24:01, making good on her attempt to crack the Top 5. The effort earned her an All-Canadian selection.

The placing was also an improvement from a year ago in Montreal, when she crossed the finish line at nationals in ninth spot. 

Emilie Mann is a Respiratory Therapy student at SAIT.
