SAIT Trojans Female Athlete of the Week

SAIT Trojans women's soccer player Mataya Blakney has quietly been putting together a fantastic season, and Sunday was no exception.

The fifth-year midfielder scored twice to lead her team to a 5-0 rout of the visiting Olds College Broncos to keep her team's winning streak to start the season intact at five games. Blakney has now scored eight goals in five games, putting her second on the team, behind Maddie Lee's nine.

Blakney is a Bachelor of Business Administration student at SAIT.
