Team of the Week

Tuesday February 23

SAIT TROJANS Men's Basketball Team

One year ago the Trojans had their playoff dreams vanquished by the Medicine Hat Rattlers with a buzzer-beater to lose by one point. This year, there was no such suspense. The Trojans (16-4) swept the Rattlers, with two convincing wins. On Friday, the Trojans, shorthanded because of injuries and sickness, used nine healthy bodies en route to an 82-41 victory at home. Saturday night, looking to avenge last season's heartbreaker, the Trojans used some hot shooting, 60% from the field and 60% from beyond the arc, to dispatch Medicine Hat by a score of 104-51. The Trojans ended the regular season tied for first in the ACAC South division with the Mount Royal Cougars.
