Terrence A. Burke - Men's Basketball

Terry made a number of significant contributions to the SAIT athletic program as an athlete, student leader, and coach.

Terry was a starter for the Trojan Basketball team in 1975 and 1976. He also won the Intramural Male Athlete of the Year Award. Terry was also selected as the co-captain of the Varsity Basketball Team.

As a student leader, he served as the Vice-President of Athletics on the Students' Council and received a SAITSA Gold T Award. His outstanding student leadership and superior academic achievement earned him the prestigious Donald A. Fleming Award and he was chosen to give the valedictorian address at the 1976 Graduation Ceremonies.

Terry returned to SAIT to contribute once again as the head coach of the women's basketball team in 1978 and 1979. His teams' trademarks were of hardworking, classy athletes who were also successful in the classroom.

It is with great appreciation that the Trojan Athletic Foundation recognizes Terry's contribution as an athlete and student leader.
