Troy, the Trojans Warhorse, was created by Street Characters and was born to the SAIT Trojans on August 28, 1998. The figure of a horse was chosen for as the SAIT Trojans mascot, because horses are considered very spirited and powerful animals. They were thought of like brave warriors: highly skilled fighters who loved victory and were miserable when conquered. The horse signifies readiness to act for one's country and is also a symbol of speed, intellect and virility.
Troy demonstrates courage, determination, and spirit; loves children; and loves to encourage fans to cheer on the Trojans at games.
Trojans fans can expect to see Troy at most SAIT Trojans home games, around the SAIT Campus, and at many community events. Whether Troy appears at the games in the original chest armor or wearing a hockey or basketball jersey, you will not be able to miss Troy's muscular physique.
