Trojan Ambassador Council
The Trojan Ambassador Council (TAC) is a committee that was initiated in the 1960s. It's initial name was the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAB) and was changed to Trojan Ambassador Council in 2007. It is made up of student-athlete representatives from each Trojans sport, as well as Sport Services Department administration. TAC is used as a vehicle to promote communication between the SAIT Athletics Department, SAITSA, and Trojans student-athletes.
The Role of TAC
The role of the TAC is to reflect the interests and concerns of the SAIT Trojans student-athletes by:
- Developing ideas for community service projects.
- Providing a student-athlete voice within the department, discussing issues and concerns, and providing feedback as necessary.
- Providing student-athlete response to ACAC and CCAA legislation and suggestions for legislation.
- Fostering student-athlete welfare issues such as overall educational experience, health and safety, student-athlete/coach relationships, fairness, openness, and student-athlete involvement in campus events.
- Fostering achievement of academic and athletic goals.
2007-08 Meeting Dates
Meetings take place every second Tuesday from 12:00 - 1:00pm in V127. The TAC is active each academic year from September until mid April.
